The Modern Hymn

Since the earliest times Christianity has sung hymns in both in private devotions and corporate worship. Now in the 21st century the old hymn book has gone through a modern make over. This clever little leather book could hold all your urban hymns and more to accompany you on your morning pilgrimage.

It's all MINE!

MINE and it's all mine! UK based designer Katherine Pont is a College of Fine Arts graduate and using her skills in drawing she creates beautiful femine cloth with a distinctive vintage feel and just a hint of tom boy.

Each collection is composed with a story in mind, which unfolds as the collection takes shape. This fairytale sense of creation coupled with Katherine's hand drawn embroideries and prints are the tell tale signs of the Mine signature style. Mine has a distinctively vintage feel, yet within her detailing Pont meddles with convention to create new and artful pieces.

AW 08 – Elsie Moved in Circles

Inspired by surrealist silent movies and Aztec geometric aesthetics, the new collection, entitled "Elsie Moved in Circles", is born from a 1920s fantasy, when swing and jazz met the city lights of skyscrapers and smoky eyes. Ensembles could be imagined for the starlets of silent cinema.

The art deco shapes of modernist buildings create an Aztec inspired pattern enhanced by lazer-cut leather trims. The collection is subtle in its glamorisation; the soft illustrated digital prints on layered sheer silk cottons are combined with hammered silk, drapey jacquards and wool jerseys. Tailoring hints are embellished with embroidered bows, square buttons and checks like windows, while quilting echoes harlequins and pleats are like the tiers of a building.
